Innovation, technology, and porcelain stoneware: invisible cooktops are now a reality!

Innovation, technology, and porcelain stoneware: invisible cooktops

At the 2023 Cersaie fair, the company ABK presented a great innovation for the kitchen: Cooking Surface Prime, the invisible induction cooking system that perfectly integrates material and technology.

A new kitchen concept with a minimalist design.

It combines quality with a minimalist design that adapts to any space. It looks like a simple worktop, but it hides an integrated induction cooking system. The revolutionary cooktop that frees up spaces in the kitchen, because when it is off, it is not visible, in a kitchen with natural surfaces and integrated induction technology.

A space to carry out all kitchen activities, from ingredient preparation to cooking, making the traditional cooktop concept obsolete.

Technology and innovation for the future of cooking.

What at first glance looks like a simple worktop hides an integrated induction cooking system, which combines an innovative design with great versatility. The Research and Development Department designed Cooking Surface Prime, creating a perfect symbiosis between technology and material to shape the induction of the future.

How does invisible induction work?

Induction occurs when a magnetic field comes into contact with a metallic container. The induction cooktop detects a metal container and heats it, cooking its contents. A kitchen top for those who love cooking. A technology that stimulates creativity and allows for optimal space utilization.

The Cooking Surface Prime system is combined with large 20mm-thick sintered slabs produced and distributed by Abk Stone, Materia, and Gardenia Slabs. The 25-year guaranteed slabs are perfect for both domestic and professional applications. They resist stains, scratches, and blades, allowing food to be cut and prepared directly on the surface. The materials are completely waterproof and non-porous, making them highly hygienic and resistant, unaffected by high and low temperatures or external agents.

Identifying the burners: smart micro-sandblasting.

To instantly locate the invisible cooktop, the slabs combined with the Cooking Surface Prime system undergo an additional treatment, which, without going deep, allows for easy identification of the burners, highlighting the three different sizes. The micro-sandblasting, with reduced pressure at about 5 bar, simply “draws” the cooking zones on the surface, without altering the resistance and non-absorbent properties of the sintered slabs. Cooking Surface Prime offers six different graphic solutions to perfectly adapt to every type of kitchen.

The perfect combination for cooking enthusiasts! To optimize the efficiency of the Cooking Surface Prime induction system, a special cookware set has also been developed. The spacers placed at the base of these pots ensure perfect interaction between the metal surface and the cooktop. With the official Cookware set, no accessories or additional elements are required.

Various finishes for every kitchen style

The invisible induction system enhances the aesthetics of the kitchen top, which, without any interruption, can visually integrate with all the other kitchen surfaces. With a wide range of slabs to match the cooktop, it is possible to create environments that fully reflect one’s style, ranging from the timeless beauty of marble, passing through the rustic warmth of stone and wood effects, up to the most modern solid colors or surfaces inspired by cement and metals.

The advantages of Cooking Surface Prime

  • Aesthetics: the induction is completely integrated into the kitchen top, without cuts on the surface.
  • Multifunctional versatility: when not in use, the cooktop can be used for other functions.
  • Hygiene and cleanliness: with a compact and non-porous surface, the kitchen top is absolutely hygienic and easy to clean.
  • Safety: no risk of burns, only metal containers heat up, and in their absence, the system does not function and does not consume energy.
  • Economy: induction, with its extremely high thermal efficiency (more than twice that of the gas system), is the most economical system for cooking.
  • Ease of use: the system is easy and intuitive to use.
